The IDF Senior Staff has signed official orders regulating the service condition of Hareidim integrated into the IDF, after years of oral unratified agreements subject to abuse in certain divisions. Finally, the IDF is officially ordered to provide Hareidi soldiers with strictly kosher food, optimal Sabbath observance and complete gender segregation, in addition to regular Torah lectures and ample time for prayer three times daily.
