‘Outpost King’ and Hilltop Youth leader Avri Ran told Channel 10 that his activities set the national settlement agenda as well as the future borders of Israel, and determine where the IDF will defend Yesha residents.
MK Elazar Stern responded, “I tend to agree. Despite the unapproved settlement activity of Avri Ran, the establishment of Jewish towns requires the IDF agenda to deploy troops to defend these locations. The IDF can even temporarily require reservists who do not share Ran’s ideology to serve against the conscience.”
