Esther Pollard, the wife of convicted Israeli spy Jonathan Pollard, said, Monday, that she "received a commitment" from Chairman Yair Lapid of the Yesh Atid party that "he will work tirelessly for Jonathan's release." Speaking to Arutz Sheva after their meeting at the Knesset, she called their discussion "emotional."
Jonathan Pollard has been behind bars in the United States since 1985 for sending classified information to Israel. There have been calls for U.S. President Barack Obama to pardon him and bring him with him when he comes to Israel in March. If that does not happen, Pollard's case stands to be on the agenda, according to Member of Knesset Danny Danon (Likud).
