Claim: Hareidi Harassment for Not Going to Back of Bus

A 22-year-old woman from the central Galilee city of Tzfat filed a complaint with police, Sunday, against hasidim of the Gur faction, whom she accuses of harassing her on a trip to Ashdod after she refused to sit in the back of a "mehadrin" bus, intended to cater to the sensitivities of the hareidi-religious community. The complainant said the abuse, by a number of yeshiva students, included curses. The woman alerted police, who were waiting for the bus when it pulled into Ashdod and arrested a youth who had a central role in the incident.

It should be noted that late in 2011, following a highly publicized incident involving a secular media producer, hareidi media instructed the community not to harass anyone in any way.
