Public officials who commit crimes should receive particularly harsh sentences, Judge Khaled Kaboub argued at an annual meeting of the Israeli Bar Association’s Tel Aviv branch. “They need to pay a higher prices because of their status,” he said.
Too few cases are filed against public leaders, Kaboub said.
