Bar Ilan U Seeks New President

Professor Moshe Kaveh, the President of Bar Ilan University, is stepping down in eight months, and the university has begun to look for a replacement. According to Voice of Israel radio (Kol Yisrael), one of the front-running candidates for the position is former Science Minister Professor Daniel Hershkowitz.

Hershkowitz led the Bayit Yehudi (Jewish Home) party in the last Knesset.

Kaveh was forced to step down due to a decision by the Council for Higher Education to set term limits for university presidents.
