Bayit Yehudi (Jewish Home) MK Ayelet Shaked criticized the Likud in a post to her Facebook page Sunday, after Likud sources accused party head Naftali Bennett of perpetrating a fraud against his voters by making a deal with Yesh Atid’s Yair Lapid.
“What an insult to the public’s intelligence,” Shaked said. “To offer Shelly Yechimovich the Finance Ministry isn’t defrauding voters? After all, for years Yechimovich and Netanyahu have told the nation how different their views on the economy are. Suddenly Netanyahu is going to agree to a financial plan that costs 138 billion shekels?”
Shaked noted that Netanyahu had also reportedly offered Tzipi Livni the chance to play a major role in diplomatic talks with the Palestinian Authority. “Tzipi Livni, who stands for a Palestinian state that includes dividing Jerusalem, who repeatedly said Netanyahu will lead [Israel] to disaster – this isn’t fraud? Really.”
