Israeli attorney Dafna Poznanski has been declared ineligible to serve in the French Parliament. Poznanski was rejected due to campaign finance irregularities – she made payments directly, when they were supposed to go through an agent.

Poznanski, who was born in French Algeria, had won a vote to serve as an overseas representative representing the southern Mediterranean region. Her disqualification means she cannot run for re-election for one year.
