Kadima MK Israel Hasson, former deputy head of the Shin Bet, addressed the possibility that Palestinian feelings of stalled political and economic development may lead to a third intifada.
Speaking at an event on Saturday, Hasson said, "I would not call this a 'Third Intifada'. I do not believe buses will explode because the Palestinian leadership in the West Bank is against violence and as far as they are concerned, they will do everything to prevent the development in this direction. But from the perspective of the Palestinians we must understand that they have no political or economic horizon and in addition, a strong wind is blowing in their faces because of the 'Arab Spring'. All this leads to riots in the territories. It's a direct continuation from their success in the UN. "
