The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange ended the trading week, Thursday with modest to sharp losses. The TA Composite Index closed at 1,085.97, down .45 percent, while the same percentage loss meant a posting of 1,087.23 for the TA 100 stocks, including a .38-percent drop for the TA 25 most-widely-invested issues.
Worst hit was most of the technology index, which fell 2.07 percent to 321.57, while the biomed stocks stood at 844.93, down .91 percent. The communications issues slumped 1.34 percent to 500.37 and the real-estate index closed at 320.29, down .77 percent. The bank stocks declined .55 percent to 1,175.27 as the financial institutions finished the day at 1,114.23, down .26 percent, including a .24-percent loss to 1,261.80 by the insurance issues. The oil and natural-gas index stood at 1,124.72, down .52 percent.
