A Syrian citizen approached on Wednesday the border with Israel. IDF forces called out and asked for identification but the individual did not respond. The IDF fired a warning shot. A security official said the Syrian suspect was injured and was evacuated by the United nations forces for medical treatment in a hospital in Syria.
 
Following the incident, the IDF stressed that "any attempt to cross the international border, or cause damage to the fence is a violation of the sovereignty of the State of Israel."
