Rehavam Supporters Don't Take Eviction Sitting Down

Dozens of supported allegedly burned tires at the intersection of Herzl Boulveard near the Jerusalem - Tel Aviv highway, according to media reports. The reported demonstration is apparently to protest against the destruction of six homes buildings in Ma’ale Rehavam on Wednesday.
Police forces dispersed them and arrested three activists. There were unconfirmed reports that the tire of a police car was punctured.
Ma'ale Rehavam was founded in 2001. The residents pride themselves maintaining the community on the ecovillage model, focusing their efforts on cultivating olive and almond groves, a muscat grape vineyard, and an orchard growing thirty-five different fruit varieties.
Six homes were allegedly built outside the official community boundaries, sources stated.
