The Knesset approved the appointment of former Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman to the interim head of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee and MK Moshe Gafni (United Torah Judaism) to the interim chairman of the Finance Committee.

Lieberman is expected to be elected to the post permanently once the legal proceedings against him are over, pending he is cleared of the charges.
