Labor Party chairwoman Shelly Yacimovich said at a party meeting Monday that "Labor will not sit in the government and will be in the responsible and hard-fighting opposition which will not allow any rest for the Prime Minister."
Yachimovich added, "430,000 Israelis are relying on us to faithfully represent them and we will be faithful to our vision and we will do everything to meet the expectations of those voters and the expectations of all the citizens of Israel."
"I've heard since this morning rumors, speculation, statements claiming that if I am offered a ministerial position the Labor Party will sit in the government. This has no truth to it. This is not a discussion of positions, this is a discussion of values and perspectives. The Labor Party will not return to being the secretary of Netanyahu," she added.
