It was announced, Monday, that the Defense Ministry has given final approval for the reconstruction of the five buildings that were sawed apart, last number, in the Ulpena (religious girls' high school) neighborhood in the Binyamin-region Jewish community of Beit El under a Supreme Court order. The 30 dwelling units will be built from scratch in a new location. Approval to start work is expected in a few weeks.
The approval is part of an agreement for the largely-peaceful eviction of the residents as a result of a petition by Palestinian Authority Arabs who claimed the property on which the homes were built. Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu promised the addition of 300 housing units to the community.
