United States President Barack Obama plans to offer Israel America’s help in pressuring Iran into dropping its nuclear program during his upcoming visit, the Sunday Times reports. In exchange, the report states, he will demand that Israel resume negotiations with the Palestinian Authority.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has repeatedly invited the PA leadership to talk with no preconditions, but PA leaders insist that Israel fulfill a number of conditions prior to talks, including a full construction freeze in Judea, Samaria and part of Jerusalem, and granting freedom to many terrorist prisoners.

Netanyahu recently stated that there will be no new construction freeze under his administration, after a past construction freeze exacerbated a housing crunch and failed to bring the PA to the table.
