Egypt will try twenty-six alleged Islamist terrorists, two of whom are former military officers, who are accused of planning attacks against the Egyptian state, the official news agency MENA said on Saturday.

According to the state prosecutor, the 26 men headed an extremist anti-government organization which called for jihad against public servants.
