Heavy Blizzard Causes NY to Declare State of Emergency

More than 2 feet of snow fell across the Northeast region of the US Friday night but the worst may not be over for those in Nemo's path.

The US National Weather Service warned Saturday that the storm, dubbed Nemo, could reach "historic proportions."

The heavy snowfall and strong wind has already left more than 650,000 homes and businesses without power and has left more than 5,300 flights grounded and has led New York Governor Andrew Cuomo to declare a state of emergency. Many states in the Northeast have also declared a state of emergency.
