Rabbis and hundreds of students of Rabbi Baruch Mordechai Ezrachi are scheduled to hold a massive prayer session, 2:00 Friday afternoon at the Western Wall of the Temple in Jerusalem, following serious deterioration of the rabbi's condition at Hadassah Ein-Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem. Rabbi Ezrachi was diagnosed with a severe infection and doctors described his condition as very serious.
The head of the Ateret Yisrael yeshiva was taken to the hospital Thursday evening, after he felt ill and lost consciousness at his home in Jerusalem's Bayit Vegan neighborhood. He regained conscioussness overnight. His family said he had not been feeling well since his return, Monday, from a trip abroad.
