Sharp Increase in Interest for Ma'agal Balev Program

The Ma'agalim (Circles) organization says the attendance of 350 religious and traditional 12th-grade girls at a Thursday volunteer fair it co-sponsored with the Association for Volunteerism shows a sharp increase in the organizations Ma'agal Balev (Circles in the Heart) program, which currently places about 230 national-service volunteers in various fields of endeavor in hospitals, schools, kindergardens, the defense ministry and welfare facilities throughout the country.

Those in attendance received information and interviewed for about 30 openings for volunteer service. Ma'agalim officials said they were impressed with the quality of the candidates and their desire to  contribute. They added that they hoped to be able to offer more openings around the country next year.
