Shekel, Euro, Pound Up; Dollars Mixed; Yen Down

The official value of the shekel rose an average of .123 percent, Thursday, in mixed trading against the other featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.687, down .244 percent from Wednesday's rate, while the Euro edged up .062 percent to 5.0029 shekels.

The pound sterling was set at NIS 5.7943, up .064 percent, while 100 Japanese yen fell .517 percent to 3.9285 shekels. The Australian dollar was fixed at 3.8106 shekels, down .068 percent, while its Canadian counterpart rose .159 percent to NIS 3.7105, and the South African Rand slipped .024 percent to .4151 shekels.
