Yishai: We Oppose Plan to Charge VAT on Produce

Interior Minister Eli Yishai responds to the intention of the Treasury to cancel the VAT exemption on fruits and vegetables, “Shas opposed such a move early last Knesset, and we will do the same again. The Treasury should come up with creative solutions to trim the budget without recycling past failures that only harm lower and middle classes.”
