Radio Kol Chai reports the Chief Rabbinate Kashrut Department held a conference this week to discuss the shape of the baked Danish. “People have come to expect that a particular shape represents its respective contents, and consumers sensitive to dairy products could be put at risk if they are misled to think a particular Danish has meat content. We suggest proprietors make obvious visual indication of the nature of the Danish filling as part of our criteria for Kosher certification.”
