The United States continued to press Europe to cut funding and aid to Hizbullah after the terror organization was found to be behind an attack in Bulgaira in July that killed five Israeli tourists.
"For many, many months, we've made no secret of our desire to see the EU take firmer action with regard to Hezbollah," said State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland.
Although the US has been "squeezing" Hizubullah, Washington fears that the terror group has looked for "other places to do their banking, to do their plotting," Nuland said.
"Our concern has been that Europe has been one of the places that they have exploited," she added.
