The Minister of Transportation Yisrael Katz is set to sign a new regulation prohibiting the movement of animal-drawn carts on urban roads in all local authorities in the country.

According to Minister Katz the presence of animal-drawn carts on the roads in Israel poses a significant risk to motorists and pedestrians alike and are often also cause traffic delays and unnecessary traffic jams.
