Court: Terror Victims Won't be Remembered at New Site

The Supreme Court ruled, Tuesday morning, that victims of terror will not be memorialized at a new memorial site being put up at Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. The ruling came in a petition by a terror-victims association against the Defense Ministry and the Yad Labanim organization, which claimed that by virtue of the site being official, there should be no discrimination based on the circumstances under which the people died.

High-Court President Asher Grunis noted that the question of the relationship between memorial means for fighters and terror victims has arisen in various context throughout the years and it appears there is no solution which is acceptable to all the concerned parties.
