Co-chairman Eli Yishai of the Sephardic-hareidi Shas party met, Monday morning, with Rabbi Ya'akov Shapiro, the head of the Mercaz Harav Yeshiva in Jerusalem.
The meeting was one in a series of meetings over the last few days with rabbis in the religious Zionist camp in an attempt to press Chairman Naftali Bennett of Habayit Hayehudi (Jewish Home-New National Religious Party) not to accept the outline of Chairman Yair Lapid of the Yesh Atid party regarding military or national volunteer service for members of the hareidi-religious community.
