The Shin Bet (General Security Services) Israel Security Agency reported, Monday, that terror attacks on domestic targets decreased between December and January. Only 51 attacks were recorded in Judea and Samaria (Shomron) during January, compared with 81 in December, while in Jerusalem, the number went from 30 to 27. No attacks were reported from Gaza, down from one in December
Firebombs accounted for 70 of the 83 attacks in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria. Three Israelis were wounded: one a civilian in a Samaria stabbing; the other two were security personnel hit by a firebombing in the Judean Arab village of El-Aroub and the throwing of rocks at Rachel's Tomb, between Jerusalem and Bethlehem.
