Analyst: Shas may Enter the Government in 6-8 Months

A leading personality in the hareidi-religious community said, Monday, that the Sephardic-hareidi Shas party may enter any coalition that is formed in six to eight months, after a new law is enacted to regulate hareidi enlistment in the military or national volunteer service.

Analyzing the first round of coalition talks, the source - who insisted on anonymity - said that by entering the government after the new law is enacted, Shas will be able to present itself as not having been involved in the process. It can also return to its focus of diplomatic and social decision making.
