Shula Zaken, the former office manager of former prime minister Ehud Olmert, has withdrawn her agreement to sign a plea-bargain agreement in the Holyland corruption case, according to a Sunday-evening report by Channel 2 Television. Olmert - a former mayor of Jerusalem - and a number of Jerusalem-area officials are being tried in connection with approval of the Holyland real-estate project after it appeared to be on the way to being defeated.
Under the agreement that Zaken apparently rejected, she was supposed to admit to receiving a bribe and serve an 11-month prison sentence.
