A member of the Syrian opposition criticized on Sunday the decision of Syrian National Coalition leader Moaz al-Khatib to meet Iran’s Foreign Minister, Ali Akbar Salehi, at the Munich Security Conference. Al-Khatib has already met Russia’s Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov.
The Syrian opposition member said that Al-Khatib "caused a political storm. The meeting with the Iranian Foreign Minister is unnecessary because it is useless" due to Tehran’s support of Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad.
