Vice President Joe Biden of the United States is scheduled to discuss U.S. concerns over the situation in Syria with Mo'az Al-Hatib, a leader of the Syrian opposition, when they meet in Germany, in conjunction with a European visit by Biden.
Al-Hatib participated in a meeting of opposition leaders, Thursday, in Cairo. They said all talks to end the 22-month-old violence must center around President Bashar Al-Assad leaving office. Al-Hatib said he was ready to hold talks outside Syria if the regime in Damascus frees thousands of prisoners.
