A person believed to be a suicide bomber was killed or seriously wounded, Friday afternoon, in an explosion outside the United States embassy in Turkey, according to the British Broadcasting Corporation. There were a number of other casualties in the blast.

The BBC cited local television station NTV, which said there was no damage inside the embassy. Police sealed off the scene.
