Chairman Shaul Mofaz of the Kadima party informed President Shim'on Peres, Thursday, that he was recommending Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to formulate the next government.

Mofaz said, "We think consistency is important and in our platform, one of the most important things is changing the government system. Therefore, we decided to assign Netanyahu the task of forming the government as head of the largest party."
