Expect Assad not to Retaliate

If Syrian President Bashar Assad chose not to retaliate when Israel destroyed his nuclear reactor at Dir a-Zour despite being at the peak of his presidency, you can be certain he will avoid retaliation over the IAF strike on Syrian arms Tuesday night.

Assad’s regime is collapsing, and the last thing he needs is to lose a front with superior Israel, who will topple him in a matter of hours. Syrian proxy Hizbulllah also seems unwilling to resort to military conflict with Israel at this point either. (Walla)
