Nine residents of Bu'eine, a small community near Tiberias have been arrested on suspicion of attacking a police officer and possession of weapons. Combined law enforcement agencies conducted an operation Wednesday morning to arrest the suspects. Police say that they discovered hundreds of bullets and cartridges, police uniform, some illegal drugs and 17 thousand shekels that of possibly counterfeit bills.
Bu'eine is located next to Nujeidat and is thought to have its name derived from the ancient Beit Anat. Nujeidat is believed to have its origins from Arab settlers who came to the land of Israel to fight in Saladin's army in the 12th century.
