      Fatah-Intifada Head Dies in Syria

A pro-Syrian Fatah commander, Said Marragha, died of illness in Syria on Tuesday, AFP reports. Marragha belonged to the community of “Palestinian refugees” in Syria made up of Arabs who fled pre-state Israel and their descendants.

His Fatah-Intifada group split off from the mainstream Fatah faction. He allied with Syria and Iran, but continued to support Fatah’s attacks on Israel.
