Report: PM Raised Concerns about Syria Needlessly

Senior Foreign Ministry staffers claim that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu raised the bar of concern for what is happening in Syria for no real reason, although there was no concern that red lines Israel set on President Bashar Al-Assad's chemical weapons would be crossed, according to a Tuesday-morning report by the Ma'ariv daily.

The sources told the newspaper that the situation in Syria has not become dramatically worse in the last two weeks. One source said that a status quo is being maintained in the fight between government and rebel forces.
