Iranian state television reported on Monday that the country successfully sent a monkey into space in what Tehran hailed as another step toward their goal of a manned space flight.
According to the report, the monkey was sent up in a rocket and reached a height of 120 kilometres before safely returning to Earth.
Iran has ambitious goals for its aeronautics program and the regime's end goal is to send an astronaut into space.
