Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Yisrael Katz criticized, Sunday, the cabinet decision to accept Minister Benny Begin's changes to a program to regulate Bedouin development in the Negev. Katz put the decision "in the category of giving a prize to someone who does not act according to the law."
The transportation and infrastructures minister said, "The government's decision does not bring us closer to the solution of the problem [of illegal construction -ed.] but only takes gets us further away from it. We must find a more just and correct solution to the problem of Negev lands which will promise Israel's control in the area."
