The IDF has stationed Iron Dome installations in northern Israel. The rocket defense systems were moved due to the growing unrest in Syria, and in particular, concerns that Syria’s chemical weapons could end up in the hands of Islamic terrorist groups such as Hizbullah.

Iron Dome installations have been moved to multiple locations, including in the Haifa area.
