MK Carmel Shama-Hacohen (Likud), who was in spot 32 on the Likud Beytenu list, will be leaving Knesset after the party won only 31 seats. He has posted on Facebook asking his friends and fans on the social networking site to give their opinions on whether or not he should run for mayor of the city of Ramat Gan.
Current Ramat Gan Mayor Tzvi Bar has been in office since 1989. “I would be happy to hear if you think that after 25 years of Tzvi Bar’s rule, the city wants, and is ready for, a change,” Shama wrote.
