Sunday, January 27, is International Holocaust Remembrance Day. The date was set to mark the liberation of the Auschwitz death camp.
At noon a ceremony will be held in Yad Vashem, and in Ashdod there will be a concert with youth playing songs written by Holocaust survivors.
Israel’s main Holocaust memorials will be held on Yom Hashoa, on the 27th of the Hebrew month of Nissan.
