Woman Saved by Wallenberg Surprised to be on his Stamp

A Winnipeg woman was surprised, this week, to find her picture on a Canadian postage stamp that was recently issued to mark the 100th birthday of Raoul Wallenberg, the Swedish diplomat who disappeared in 1947 after saving thousands of Hungarian Jews during the Holocaust by issuing them Swedish identity papers, according to a Friday story in Canada's National Post.

Eighty-three-year-old Judith Kopstein was 14 when she was issued her identity paper, which serves as the backdrop for a picture of Wallenberg, refugees, and the yellow Jewish star that Jews had to wear in country's under Nazi domination.
