Tens of Thousands Take to the Outdoors for Tu B'Shvat


The Keren Kayemet Leyisrael (Jewish National Fund) reported, Saturday, that tens of thousands visited its forests and nature reserves throughout the country.

The most popular was the Ben-Shemen Forest, between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, which played host to an estimated 5,000 people. About 3,000 people went to the Hula Valley Nature Reserve in the Upper Galilee, with an additional 2,000 going to the Jordan Park, north of the Kinneret/Sea of Galilee, and another thousand visiting the Biriya Forest in the Central Galilee. Between 2,500 and 3,000 visited Canada Park, between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, and the Charuvit Forest in the southern part of central Israel.
