Activists in the field for Habayit Hayehudi (Jewish Home-New National Religious Party) called on the leaders of the party in the Knesset, Friday, to add outgoing Member of Knesset Zevulun Orlev to the coalition negotiating team, headed by Knesset member Uri Ariel. The activists said, in a statement, "Aside from his vast experience, which is not to be questioned, Orlev has a good relationship with the prime minister and can be a fair mediator in view of the 'bad blood' between the Chairman of Habayit Hayehudi and the prime minister and his wife."
The activists wanted to remind party leaders that in the other parties such as Likud and Yesh Atid, the negotiations are lead by outside professionals and not incumbents, apparently to keep the talks about the merits of the case. They said "recruiting Orlev to negotiate will be beneficial to the electorate and can't hurt at all." They also said, Orlev would certainly not object to join the negotiating team to work for religious-Zionist public.
