Shekel, Dollars, Pound, Yen Down; Euro Up

The official value of the shekel declined an average of .108 percent, Friday, in mixed trading against the other currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.714, down .134 from Thursday's rate, while the Euro rose .67 percent to 4.9903 shekels.

The pound sterling was set at NIS 5.8706, down .273 percent, while 100 Japanese yen plunged 1.558 percent to 4.0878 shekels. The Canadian dollar was fixed at 3.7026 shekels, down .371 percent, while its Australian counterpart fell .551 percent to NIS 3.8825 and the South African Rand rose .316 percent to .4126 shekels.
