The board of directors of Channel 10 and the Nana Website voted, Thursday, to name veteran journalist Rafi Ginat to the post of chief executive officer. He will take over from Yoav Haldman who has held the position in an acting capacity for the last few months, who will stay with the operation as its chief financial officer and executive vice president.
The station recently refinanced tremendous debts with the help of Ron Lauder and passage of laws needed to implement Lauder's infusion of funds. Ginat is famous for broadcasting the popular Colbotek investigative reporting show, which will move to Channel 10 from Channel 2. In the past he has also served as manager of the entertainment division of Channel 1 government television, where Colbotek started, and where he hosted a popular program that asked the public's help in solving previously unsolved crimes. He was also editor in chief at the Yediot Acharonot and Ha'olam Hazeh newspapers.
