Japanese police have arrested three employees of a Tokyo-based shipping company, on suspicion of violating the sanctions on Iran. The three allegedly took part in the transfer of 125,000 euro to a company with ties to an Iranian shipping company during the years 2011 and 2012.

A spokesman for the Japanese police said the three took the money without receiving authorization from the Ministry of Finance in Japan. The three claimed they did not know this act was illegal.
