The U.S. ambassador to the UN, Susan Rice, complained on Wednesday about the use of the term "State of Palestine" at a hearing at the Security Council.
"A reference to the State of Palestine does not turn Palestine into a state," Rice emphasized, in reaction to a sign that read "State of Palestine" and which was placed during a speech by the Palestinian Authority’s Foreign Minister, Riyad al-Maliki.
